Energetic Contracts & How They Keep You Stuck

One of the most common energetic blocks I help clients release are psychic or energetic contracts. So what are they? Journey with me into a deep dive of this ancient energy magic, and learn how to recognise and release them, so your life force and soul can move freely again.

What Are Energetic Contracts?

A psychic or energetic contract is an agreement on the energetic level between 2 or more expressions of consciousness (humans, animals, spirits, deities, collectives). A psychic contract is a pattern of intent, consent and energy exchange rooted in the energetic or subtle body (especially the mental and emotional one). They are structures of consent that shape your life and consciousness, and can be consciously / explicitly created through vows out of devotion, oaths, initiations or promises, or unconsciously / implicitly, by traumatic experiences and trauma bonds. The pattern will continue to unfold until it's consciously dissolved or played out to the max. Energetic contracts often stay with you beyond lifetimes and can have been made with parents, partners and colleagues or even non-physical beings – or the negative consciousness as a whole (the Black Brotherhood). Often they are held in the unconscious part of your being.

How Can I Recognise Them?

They can show up as certain beliefs and behavioural patterns that are keeping you small, silent and stuck. Since they often reside in the unconscious part of you, they can be difficult to recognise, however through self-inquiry and raising your vibration they can come to the surface into your conscious awareness to be released. They often sit in the higher mental body and are often embedded in the chakras and / or spinal cord. They can get activated when you (again) meet the person / soul / lineage, then they 'light up' and start to shape your thoughts and behaviour as they regulate your consciousness. Usually the patterns are binding your behaviour and you can recognise it by the feeling of hitting an invisible ceiling – or feeling like you cannot control a behaviour, or cannot seem to correct it. A vow / contract usually leaves a signature pattern:

• A persistent theme you can’t shake despite therapy or willpower

• A feeling of obligation, guilt or fear that seems bigger than the situation

• Automatic self-limiting thoughts or sabotaging behaviour (“I’m not allowed to …”)

Type of Contract	Example	Effect
Vows of poverty, chastity, silence, obedience (monastic or ritual, can be made out of devotion)	“I renounce all worldly goods forever.”	Chronic scarcity, sexual repression, fear of speaking out.
Rescue or saviour pacts	“If you save me now, I’ll serve you eternally.”	Enmeshment with beings or lineages; feeling 'owned' by guides, parents, bosses or partners.
Family/ancestral pacts	“Our bloodline will never forgive XYZ.”	Intergenerational trauma loops.
Magical or occult pacts	“I give you my energy in exchange for power.”	Entity attachment, drain of life force. Creates strong karmic ties
Trauma bonds	Created in abusive relationships or cult settings.	Difficulty leaving, repeating abusive dynamics.
Initiatory seals	Installed by mystery schools (positive or negative).	Blocks or redirects kundalini until initiation is complete or revoked.

Can You Give Me Examples?

To recognise if you carry any contracts, which is as mentioned very common in these times we live in, you can see if anything of the below list of examples resonates with you:

Feeling unsafe or ashamed in sexual expression	Initiatory seal, vows of chastity or purity oaths, ancestral pacts
Fear of speaking your truth or being visible	Vows of silence or secrecy (out of obligation, duty, or out of self-preservation or protection)
Compulsion to rescue others / martyrdom	Soul-rescue contracts, saviour pacts, ancestral pacts
Feeling 'owned' by a teacher, group, guide or lineage	Initiatory seal or service vow, ancestral pacts
Repeated toxic relationships in one theme	(Past life) trauma bonds or ancestral pacts
Sudden block in spiritual gifts after initiation	Seals/contracts to control awakening

Are Contracts Always Negative?

Not all contracts are limiting and negative. Some may have protected you and become negative when outdated. Contracts can also be agreed on before incarnation, for your soul to experience growth. They can be linked to service too. Soul Contracts are positive, supporting, and are made at the soul level (not over your human consciousness, but your higher consciousness that has way more awareness and a 'bird view'). They are serving you, and function similar to a strong intention. They feel nourishing and supportive, instead of restricting and sabotaging. They support and enhance your soul's sovereignty. Here are some examples:

• Soul Mission Agreements: meeting certain people, co-create projects, anchor a frequency, share divine teachings, raise the collective consciousness

• Agreements with Guides: soul allies that protect and mentor you

• Sacred Vows: Vows made consciously with full sovereignty with a positive purpose for everyone involved

How Do I Get Rid Of Them?

Once a frequency match is lost, the contract can also dissolve, as they no longer match the new vibration and they can simply fall away. You can release contracts in gratitude and dissolve them via conscious revocation, forgiveness, completion through learning and over the Light / energetic healing with a skilled healer who knows how to set up a space and protect you. In a way, contracts are neutral tools and they always come with lesson. Generally, contracts persist until:

• The lesson is integrated (karma complete)

• The energy exchange is neutralised via healing

• You explicitly revoke it

• Your vibration isn't a match anymore

An Important Perspective

Important is to remember that you are a sovereign being at your core. Earth is a free-will playground for both the beings of the Darkness as well as the beings of the Light. It is a world of polarity, duality, limitation, separation, individuality and material density, where the veil is thick and especially the human collective lives in a mainly unaware and disconnected state (disconnected from Source, Soul and Nature). When raising your vibration, the lower frequencies can no longer find you, and you go from unconscious agreements to conscious co-creation. Fear based energies, including negative contracts, will no longer be able to find you or hook into your energetic body, 'sacred energetic architecture' or consciousness. The outdated ones you can release with gratitude.
